Bacheta teamgenoot van Melker bij RSC Mucke Motorsport

Luciano Bacheta heeft een paar dagen voor het eerste GP3-weekend nog een plek op de grid bemachtigd. De 21-jarige Brit gaat aan de slag bij RSC Mucke Motorsport, waar hij onder andere Nederlander Nigel Melker als teamgenoot zal tegenkomen. Bacheta eindigde vorig jaar als tweede in de Formule Renault Eurocup.

Hij wordt begeleid door Anthony Hamilton, vader van McLaren-rijder Lewis Hamilton. Bacheta nam geen enkele keer deel aan een van de GP3-wintertests. Het is opwindend voor me dat ik me bij een renstal voeg die een bewezen kracht in de GP3 is. Ik weet dat het zwaar zal zijn door mijn gebrekkige voorbereiding, maar ik heb alle vertrouwen dat ik snel zal leren met een vindingrijk en effectief team achter me.
