Williamson krijgt dubbele gridpenalty, Melker vierde

Lewis Williamson heeft na afloop van de kwalificatie in Turkije twee gridpenalty's gekregen van de wedstrijdleiding. De Britse rijder werd na de kwalificatie bij de stewards geroepen en zal daardoor terugvallen van de derde naar de negende plaats.

Williamson reed tot tweemaal toe over de witte lijn bij het uitrijden van de pitstraat en kreeg daarom tweemaal drie posities straf. Hierdoor schuift onder andere Nigel Melker een positie op naar de vierde stek voor de eerste race.
