Carlin Motorsport stelt Callum MacLeod voor de rest van 2011 aan

Callum MacLeod debuteert komend weekend in Duitsland in de GP3. De Brit stapt als vervanger van Daniel Morad in bij Carlin Motorsport. Voor dat team testte MacLeod in november vorig jaar al. Vorig seizoen eindigde de 23-jarige coureur als runner-up in het Europese Open Formule 3-kampioenschap.

MacLeod: Ik was al rijderscoach bij Carlin, dus ik weet goed hoe ze te werk gaan en dat het een geweldig team is. Ik ben heel blij met deze mogelijkheid om voor ze te racen. Ik heb nooit eerder op de Nürburgring of de Hungaroring gereden, waardoor de komende twee weekenden een uitdaging zullen vormen, maar mijn doel is wel meteen vooraan meedoen. Spa en Monza ken ik wel, dat maakt het hopelijk iets makkelijker, maar eerst Duitsland en Hongarije maar eens afwachten. Ik heb de GP3-auto van Carlin in november getest en hoewel we al enige tijd verder zijn verwacht ik snel in mijn ritme te komen.
