Trident Racing vervangt Addax Team in GP3 Series in 2012

Trident Racing staat vanaf volgend jaar op de GP3-grid. De GP2-renstal zoekt al enige tijd naar een manier om uit te breiden en neemt in 2012 de plek over van Addax Team. Bij de komende tests zullen beide teams samenwerken en vanaf 1 januari is de overdracht officieel afgerond.

Trident Racing-teameigenaar Maurizio Salvadori: De toetreding van Trident Racing tot de GP3 vertegenwoordigt een belangrijk deel van een veel groter programma dat we begin 2011 opgestart hebben om onze technische afdeling te herstructureren. Dit seizoen boekten we drie zeges in de GP2 en was het een positief jaar, zij het met een tegenvaller in de vorm van de blessure die Stefano Coletti op Spa-Francorchamps opliep. Ik heb altijd geloofd in een ontwikkelingspad tussen de GP3 en de GP2, en toen de kans zich voordeed om Addax Team over te nemen besloot ik om toe te happen.
