GP3 Series racet in 2012 voor het eerst in straten van Monaco

Monaco is officieel in de GP3-kalender voor 2012 opgenomen. De opstapklasse in het voorprogramma van de Formule 1 en GP2 kwam de afgelopen twee jaar niet in actie in het prinsdom wegens gebrek aan ruimte. Daar is een oplossing voor gevonden.

Het GP3-seizoen 2012 bevat daardoor alle Europese Grand Prix-locaties. GP3-baas Bruno Michel: Het doet me deugd om aan te kondigen dat een ronde in Monaco is bevestigd voor de GP3 Series in 2012. Het was een hele opgave om alle logistieke opties te bestuderen en ons paddock in een krappe en volle omgeving in te passen. Met dank aan de Automobile Club de Monaco en Formula One Management is dat gelukt. Dit is een fantastische mogelijkheid voor exposure voor onze serie en voor de coureurs om hun talent in de uitdagende straten van Monaco tentoon te spreiden.
