Pirelli stopt 200.000 euro in prijzenpot voor GP3-kampioen

Bandenleverancier Pirelli looft 200.000 euro uit voor de kampioen in de GP3 Series. Voorwaarde is dan wel dat de winnaar van de titel het fonds gebruikt om de overstap naar de GP2 te wagen. Daarnaast krijgt de GP3-kampioen een test in de GP2 aangeboden.

GP3-baas Bruno Michel: Ik bedank Pirelli voor hun vrijgevige bod van 200.000 euro voor de GP3-kampioen van 2012. De titelwinnaar maakt alleen aanspraak op dit fonds als hij promoveert naar de GP2. Dit is fantastisch nieuws voor onze jonge coureurs, een boost om hun wens om de Formule 1 te halen te realiseren. Daarnaast hebben we besloten om de kampioen een keer te laten testen in de GP2 in het winterseizoen.
