Felix da Costa en Buller bezorgen Carlin topweekend

Antonio Felix da Costa en William Buller hebben afgelopen weekend gewonnen in de GP3 Series op Silverstone. Felix da Costa was op zaterdag titelkandidaten Mitch Evans en Aaro Vainio te snel af. Het betrof de eerste overwinning van de Carlin-coureur dit seizoen.

Buller won sowieso voor het eerst in de GP3. De 19-jarige Brit, eveneens van het team van Carlin, waagde zondag een gok door op slicks te beginnen. Op een opdrogende baan bleek dat de beste strategie. Voorzichtigheid was in de openingsfase wel geboden, getuige het feit dat Alex Brundle en Conor Daly ook op slicks startten en ver wegzakten met het nodige geglij en geglibber. Daly haalde alsnog het podium met P2, voor Patric Niederhauser.
