Williamson namens Status GP in Duitsland terug in GP3

Lewis Williamson rijdt komend weekend op de Hockenheimring voor Status GP in de GP3 Series. De Schot profiteert van sponsorproblemen bij Kotaro Sakurai. Williamson was vorig jaar een racewinnaar in de GP3. Dit seizoen begon hij in de World Series by Renault, maar Red Bull schoof hem aan de kant door een gebrek aan resultaten.

Williamson zint op revanche. "Ik ken een paar gasten van Status GP al heel lang en dit is een mooie mogelijkheid. Ik weet dat alles moet geven in Hockenheim en dat we alles juist dienen te doen om sterk te presteren. We bekijken het per sessie en zijn dan we hoe het gaat en wat er komt. Het is leuk om aan de zijde van Marlon Stockinger en Alice Powell te racen. Ik ken beiden uit de Formule Renault UK en ik weet zeker dat de samenwerking goed zal verlopen."
