GP3 Series kondigt negen teams voor periode 2013-2015 aan

De organisatie van de GP3 Series heeft bekend gemaakt welke teams de komende jaren het strijdtoneel bevolken. Negen renstallen staan op die lijst voor de periode 2013-2015, met één nieuwkomer. Koiranen Motorsport voegt zich bij Atech Grand Prix, MW Arden, Jenzer Motorsport, Carlin, Lotus GP, Marussia Manor Racing, Trident Racing en Status Grand Prix. Ocean Racing Technology is afgevallen.

GP3-baas Bruno Michel: "Het doet met deugd om de namen van de negen teams voor de seizoenen 2013, 2014 en 2015 te onthullen. We hebben veel aanmeldingen ontvangen, wat aantoont dat de GP3 de nodige belangstelling genereert. In slechts drie jaar heeft de GP3 zich gevestigd als goed opstapje en met de nieuwe wagen verstevigen we onze positie als voorportaal van de GP2. We hebben gekozen om loyaal te zijn aan de meeste trouwe GP3-teams, maar we vonden het ook belangrijk om vers bloed te introduceren. Daarom zijn we blij met de komst van Koiranen Motorsport, een renstal die succesvol was in andere series. Het wordt interessant om te zien hoe deze teams met de nieuwe GP3/13-auto omspringen."
