Carlin legt Eric Lichtenstein vast voor volgend jaar

Het team van Carlin heeft de eerste coureur voor de line-up voor de GP3 voor 2013 gepresenteerd. Eric Lichtenstein testte in het najaar al voor de Britse renstal en is volgend seizoen te bewonderen in het voorprogramma van de Europese Grands Prix. De 18-jarige Argentijn komt uit het Britse Formule Ford-kampioenschap, waarin hij na een karrenvracht aan zeges in de tweede seizoenshelft de derde plek in de eindstand claimde.

Lichtenstein: "Ik ben verguld met deze mogelijkheid om voor Carlin in de GP3 te racen. Ik heb al een paar testdagen met ze doorgebracht en ik voel een goede klik met het team. Carlin heeft een geweldige reputatie, kijk maar naar de coureurs die voor deze renstal hebben gereden. Het is opwindend om bij Carlin de volgende stap in mijn loopbaan te zetten. De GP3 is een aantrekkelijk kampioenschap en racen in het voorprogramma van de Formule 1 met een nieuwe bolide is een spannend vooruitzicht."
