Rossi tekent bij voor Andretti-Herta

Alexander Rossi komt ook volgend seizoen in de IndyCar uit voor het team van Andretti-Herta Autosport. De Amerikaan debuteerde dit jaar in de Amerikaanse klasse voor de renstal die is voortgevloeid uit een samenwerking tussen Michael Andretti en Bryan Herta. Dat deed hij met verve; Rossi won de Indy 500 en eindigde als beste rookie in het kampioenschap.

"Ik heb een ongelofelijke acht maanden achter de rug", begint Rossi. "Van in februari horen dat ik een kans bij Andretti Autosport zou krijgen via het winnen van de Indy 500 in mei tot nu mijn contract verlengen voor 2017. Ik ben enorm trots en dankbaar dat ik de mogelijkheid heb om voor een team van dit kaliber te werken."

"We vervolgen onze jacht op meer overwinningen en willen het kampioenschap meer naar onze hand zetten. Ik wil de teamleiding bedanken voor hun onophoudelijke geloof en vertrouwen in mijn kunnen. We hebben een winter vol hard werk voor de boeg en we gaan er alles aan doen om komend seizoen weer een rol van betekenis te spelen."
