Rossi en Andretti wisselen van startnummer

Alexander Rossi en Marco Andretti ruilen voor het IndyCar-seizoen 2018 van startnummer. Het nummer 27 behoort voortaan Rossi toe, het nummer 98 is vanaf nu voor Andretti. De zoon van teameigenaar Michael Andretti rijdt volgend jaar voor Andretti Herta Autosport, de samenwerking tussen Andretti Autosport en Bryan Herta Autosport.

Oud-coureur Bryan Herta: "Ik ben verguld om de samenwerking met Andretti Autosport voort te zetten. Die relatie werkte afgelopen seizoen zowel op als naast de baan goed voor ons en onze partners. Ik kijk ernaar uit om met Marco terug te keren naar de pitmuur voor de auto met nummer 98 en ik kan niet wachten totdat 2018 van start gaat."

Marco Andretti: "Ik verheug me erop om onderdeel uit te maken van Andretti Herta Autosport. Mijn doel is om de auto met startnummer 98 een nieuwe overwinning in de Indy 500 te bezorgen, naast vele andere zeges. De samenwerking met Bryan voelt verfrissend, hij gelooft in mijn talent en is toegewijd om de middelen te geven om terug te keren in winner's circle."
