Andretti zou graag met Alonso willen samenwerken

Michael Andretti hoopt dat Fernando Alonso voor 2019 de switch maakt naar de Indycar. De Spanjaard stopt aan het einde van het seizoen met de Formule 1, na een carrière van 17 jaar. Het is echter nog niet bekend hoe hij volgend jaar zijn tijd gaat indelen tussen Le Mans, Indycar en andere race-projecten. Woensdag testte hij nog een Andretti-Indycar op het circuit van Barber in Alabama. 

"Alonso zal zijn toekomst na de test bekendmaken", zei McLaren-teambaas Zak Brown afgelopen weekend op Monza. Voormalig Formule 1-coureur Michael Andretti hoopt dat de test van woensdag, Alonso heeft geïnspireerd om in 2019 in de Indycar Series te gaan rijden.

"Ik zou graag met hem willen samenwerken. We gaan zien wel wat er gaat gebeuren. Ik denk namelijk nog niet dat hij zijn keuze al heeft gemaakt, maar ik hoop dat hij woensdag genoten heeft in de auto."

Misschien qua schema, in ieder geval niet omdat het twee merken zijn die concurreren. De kritiek van Alonso is ook totaal geen issue.
Mensen blijven dat maar halstarrig insinueren terwijl vanuit Honda al meermaals is aangegeven dat ze m niks kwalijk nemen en het eerder een tekortkoming van zichz... [Lees verder]

    Andretti rijdt toch met honda-motoren?
    Ik ben benieuwd of Honda er geen stokje voor gaat steken.. de boardradio's zullen ze niet vergeten zijn..

      Honda heeft meermaals aangegeven geen probleem te hebben met Alonso en zien m graag in een IndyCar met een Honda motor. Google er maar op dan vind je de artikelen wel.

      Ik hoop dat de (eventuele) samenwerking goed zal verlopen en Honda en Alonso toch nog een succes wordt.

      Honda rijgt de overwinningen aaneen in de Indycar. Als Alonso de overstap maakt dan komt hij of weer vaak op het podium óf Honda glijdt de afrond in en wint nooit meer wat :')

      Hoop ik ook, zou het mooi vinden als hij bij Andretti instapt. Geen idee wat hij nog aan het afwegen is. Andretti zal alles in het werk stellen om een plek voor m te creëren.
      Michael en Mario lopen weg met Alonso en het publiek vindt took prachtig.

      Het is te hopen dat hij lekker IndyCar gaat rijden. Zou heel erg leuk zijn. Stiekem denk ik dat hij dat wel van plan is.

    Volgens mij staat Alonso ook voor 2019 nog onder contract bij Toyota in het WEC (super season 2018-2019). Dat zal nog meer een issue zijn dan de kritieken van Alonso aan het adres van Honda in het verleden.

      Mensen blijven dat maar halstarrig insinueren terwijl vanuit Honda al meermaals is aangegeven dat ze m niks kwalijk nemen en het eerder een tekortkoming van zichzelf vonden dat ze geen goede PU konden leveren.

      Misschien beter lezen StevenQ.
      Die concurrentie is niet iets wat het in de weg stond en staat.
      Toyota en Renault/Nissan zijn trouwens ook grote concurrenten.
      Geen van die merken strijden in die competities tegen elkaar.
      Ben je op een soort missie ofzo?

      Behalve dan de Japanse Super GT(Met Honda, Nissan en Lexus)

      en concurrentie bestaat uit meer dan op het circuit alleen, ze zijn grote concurrenten op het gebied van de straatauto's die ze bouwen.

      verder is McLaren geen Renault fabrieksteam dus dat is een veel minder groot probleem
