Dolby blijft bij Tottenham, Parente naar FC Porto

Craig Dolby zal ook komend seizoen voor Tottenham Hotspur racen in de Superleague Formula, zo maakte de organisatie vandaag bekend. Hiermee gaat hij zijn derde seizoen in de serie in en zijn tweede bij Tottenham.

Dolby reed in 2008 voor Anderlecht en wist daarmee verschillende keren op het podium te komen. Afgelopen jaar stapte de Brit over naar Tottenham en wist daarmee de tweede plaats in het kampioenschap te veroveren. Komend seizoen, dat volgend weekend begint, gaat Dolby dus voor de titel.

"Ik kan niet wachten op het begin van het nieuwe seizoen", vertelde Dolby. "Ik zei eind vorig jaar dat 2010 een geweldig jaar zou gaan worden voor de Spurs als ik mocht blijven. Ik ben teameigenaar Alan Docking dan ook erg dankbaar dat hij me wilde behouden."

Tegelijkertijd werd bij FC Porto Alvaro Parente als coureur bevestigd. Parente reed in 2009 één weekend voor Porto en pakte daarbij meteen een overwinning. "Ik ben natuurlijk erg blij dat ik de kleuren van mijn eigen club kan verdedigen. Vorig jaar proefde ik de competitiviteit van de serie al en voelde ik de steun van alle supporters."

"Mijn doel is natuurlijk om races te winnen", besloot Parente.
