Dolby ook sterkste in Super Final, Van der Drift derde

Craig Dolby heeft voor Tottenham Hotspur ook de Super Final gewonnen in Silverstone. Nadat de Brit al de sterkste was in de eerste race vanmiddag, pakte Dolby ook de 100.000 euro in de Super Final met de winst. Chris van der Drift werd voor Olympiacos keurig derde.

Dolby mocht de race vanaf de pole position starten, maar verloor de leiding al bij de start aan Alvaro Parente van FC Porto. Parente maakte echter een foutje in Stowe, waardoor Dolby weer vooraan reed. Daarna reed de coureur van Tottenham weg bij de concurrentie en pakte de overwinning met 1,7 seconden voorsprong op FC Basel, want Parente viel na een tweede fout terug naar de zesde en laatste plaats.

Door de fout van Parente kon Chris van der Drift voor Olympiacos naar de derde plaats rijden, gevolgd door Sebastien Bourdais van Olympique Lyon. Parente eindigde nog als vijfde, nadat hij in de derde ronde John Martin van Atletico de Madrid voorbij stak.
