Davide Rigon domineert eerste race in Assen

Davide Rigon heeft voor Anderlecht de Superleague Formula race in Assen op zijn naam geschreven, door van start tot finish aan de leiding te rijden. Het was de vierde overwinning voor oud-Superleague kampioen Rigon in de klasse.

Makkelijk ging het echter niet, want hij werd constant op de hielen gezeten door Franck Montagny (Bordeaux). De Fransman moest na 15 ronden echter de strijd staken na een technisch probleem.

Rigon: "Ik weet niet wat er precies gebeurde bij Franck, want hij zat er lange tijd dichtbij. Maar ik ben blij, want de pitstops gingen goed en ik heb mijn banden kunnen sparen voor de tweede race."

De tweede plek werd opgepikt door Franck Perera (Flamengo), gevolgd door Max Wissel en Julien Jousse. De Nederlandse AC Milan-coureur Yelmer Buurman eindigt de race als vijfde, ondanks een afgeslagen motor bij de pitstop. Robert Doornbos komt niet verder dan de negende plek.

Chris van der Drift haalt de finish niet, evenals Narain Karthikeyan en Sebastian Bourdais.

Doornbos rijdt bij hetzelfde team als Rigon (Azerti Motorsport)... Rigon is weekendwinnaar, dus lijkt het mij zeker geen zaak van het team te zijn.

@ronniet: ik denk dat alle auto\'s redelijk gelijkwaardig zijn in SLF.

Auto\'s zijn inderdaad wel gelijk en het team is misschien gelijk aan Rigon, maar zijn niet de zelfde mensen natuurlijk. Hoe is anders het grote verschil te verklaren? Doornbos moet er toch een hoop achter zich kunnen laten.
In de Champcar was hij aardig met Bourdais aan het bakkelije, terwijl die voor een topteam reed.
