Olympique Lyon met Bourdais dominant aan kop in eerste training

Sebastien Bourdais heeft vanmorgen tijdens de eerste vrije training van de Superleague Formula op het circuit van Magny-Cours de snelste tijd gereden. De Fransman was in zijn bolide van Olympique Lyonnais maar liefst acht tienden sneller dan Craig Dolby van Tottenham Hotspur.

Qua tijden lag het erg ver uit elkaar in de eerste training. Bourdais was dus al acht tienden sneller dan kampioenschapsleider Dolby en Chris van der Drift, die op slechts 0.010 seconden achterstand van Dolby eindigde. Franck Montagny reed voor Girondins de Bordeaux de vierde tijd, maar moest wel al een volle seconde toegeven op de tijd van Bourdais.

Yelmer Buurman reed voor AC Milan de vijfde tijd op 1,2 seconden van Bourdais. Max Wissel (FC Basel) eindigde de eerste training als zesde, gevolgd door Tristan Gommendy (Galatasaray), John Martin (Beijing Guoan), Franck Perera (Flamengo) en Borja Garcia die voor Sporting Portugal de tiende tijd reed op twee seconden achterstand. Robert Doornbos ging wederom niet lekker in de Corinthians-bolide en reed slechts de vijftiende tijd.
