Buurman zet AC Milan ook in tweede training aan kop

Nadat Yelmer Buurman in de eerste training op Brands Hatch al de snelste tijd liet noteren, heeft de coureur van AC Milan ook de beste tijd in de tweede training gereden. De Nederlander bleef Andy Soucek (Sporting Portugal) en Chris van der Drift (Olympiacos) voor.

Buurman kan dit weekend op Brands Hatch veel punten uitlopen op titelrivaal Craig Dolby van Tottenham Hotspur, die ook in de tweede training de snelheid niet te pakken leek te hebben. De Brit kwam niet verder dan de tiende tijd. Wel vooraan reden Soucek en Van der Drift, die op recpectievelijk één en drie tienden achterstand als tweede en derde eindigden.

John Martin reed voor Beijing Guoan de vierde tijd, gevolgd door Duncan Tappy (Flamengo), Narain Karthikeyan (PSV) en James Walker van Liverpool FC. Robert Doornbos kwam niet verder dan de zeventiende tijd, nadat hij vast kwam te zitten in de grindbak.
