Superleague Formula zinspeelt op verdere globalisering

Het Superleague Formula-kampioenschap telde afgelopen seizoen voor het eerst overzeese races. De serie waarbij autosport en voetbal samen komen reisde naar China af voor twee evenementen. Dat smaakt de organisatie naar meer.

Superleague Formula kijkt nu naar mogelijkheden voor meer races in Azië en locaties uit Australië, Brazilië en Centraal- en Noord-Amerika zouden ook interesse hebben. Competitiedirecteur Robin Webb: 2010 was een uiterst succesvol jaar voor de Superleague Formula. Niet alleen hebben we de kalender naar twaalf ronden uitgebreid, maar we hebben ook nieuwe markten aan gedaan met succesvolle tripjes naar twee nieuwe circuits in China. Op dat succes willen we volgend jaar voortborduren en de belangstelling uit alle windhoeken is een voorteken voor een super 2011 voor de Superleague Formula.
