Andy Soucek nipt sneller dan Doornbos en Buurman

Andy Soucek heeft zojuist de snelste tijd gereden in de tweede training in Assen. De Spanjaard, rijdend voor Team Turkije - Galatasaray, was een dikke tiende sneller dan Robert Doornbos. Yelmer Buurman was de enige andere rijder die in de buurt kon blijven van Soucek met de derde tijd.

Enkele minuten voor het vallen van de vlag had Buurman ruim een seconde voorsprong op de concurrentie met de snelste tijd. Andy Soucek gooide echter roet in het eten van de Nederlander, die dit seizoen racet voor PSV Eindhoven, en was met een 1:25.471 0.221 seconden sneller dan Buurman. Robert Doornbos zette de Team Nederland-bolide nog voor Buurman en eindigde als tweede.

Achter dit trio kwam een gat van ruim 1,1 seconden naar John Martin van Team Australië die als vierde eindigde.
