Viscaal werkt rookietest af voor Prema

Vandaag wordt op het circuit van Bahrein de zogenaamde rookie test van het World Endurance Championship verreden. Gisteren werd op dat circuit de seizoensfinale verreden en vandaag komen de teams dus wederom in actie. Op de deelnemerslijst staat een opvallende naam: Bent Viscaal test namelijk voor het team van Prema.

Viscaal kwam dit seizoen in actie in de European Le Mans Series. De Nederlandse coureur reed voor het team van Algarve Pro Racing en maakte veel indruk, hij werd zelfs uitgeroepen tot Rookie of the Year in de European Le Mans Series. Viscaal nam dit jaar ook voor het eerst deel aan de 24 uur van Le Mans voor het team van ARC Bratislava.

Vandaag komt Viscaal dus in actie tijdens de Rookie Test voor het team van Prema. De Italiaanse renstal kwam dit seizoen in actie met een LMP2, Viscaal kruipt dan ook achter het stuur van deze wagen. Teams uit alle verschillende klassen zetten een rookie in tijdens de test. Ook de hypercars van Toyota, Alpine en Peugeot komen in actie. Viscaal is geselecteerd voor de test vanwege zijn goede resultaten en werkt de test af met het oog op een mogelijke samenwerking voor 2023.
