Jeroen Bleekemolen begint goed in China

Jeroen Bleekemolen is goed aan het eerste A1 Grand Prix-weekend van China begonnen. Later dit seizoen gaan de teams nog naar Sjanghai, komend weekend debuteert het circuit van Zhuhai als gastheer. Vorig seizoen won Bleekemolen bijna de hoofdrace op het stratencircuit van Peking en nu is Team Nederland in ieder geval goed uit de startblokken gekomen.

Bleekemolen reed namelijk de vierde tijd in de eerste vrije training. Alleen Team Ierland, Team Canada en Team Duitsland waren sneller. De Ier Adam Carroll zette met een 1:23.279 de snelste tijd neer. De tijd van Bleekemolen was een 1:23.891. Gastland China staat voorlopig vijfde.

De top vijf van de eerste vrije training op het circuit van Zhuhai:
1. Team Ierland (Adam Carroll) - 1:23.279 - 26 ronden
2. Team Canada (Robert Wickens) - 1:23.771 - 10 ronden
3. Team Duitsland (Michael Ammermuller) - 1:23.848 - 16 ronden
4. Team Nederland (Jeroen Bleekemolen) - 1:23.891 - 20 ronden
5. Team China (Cong Fu Cheng) - 1:23.940 - 25 ronden
