Team Nederland krijgt award als troostprijs

Team Nederland heeft een teleurstellend A1 Grand Prix-seizoen achter de rug. Coureur Jeroen Bleekemolen wist geen enkele race te winnen en sloot het seizoen af als zevende in de stand om het kampioenschap. Het team van Jan Lammers kreeg na afloop van het derde seizoen wel een award als troostprijs, te weten de A1 Team PR Excellence Award. Team Nederland eindigde in de prijs A1GP.com Fanzone Best Team als tweede, achter Team Maleisië.

De A1 Grand Prix-race op het circuit van Zandvoort viel niet in de prijzen. De award voor het beste evenement werd vergeven aan Mexico City. De andere prijzen vielen ten deel aan Team Ierland (meeste verbeterde A1 Team en best gepresenteerde A1 Team), Robert Wickens (mooiste inhaalmanoeuvre tijdens sprintrace in Australië op Team Duitsland en beste debutant) en de wereldtitel was al veroverd door Team Zwitserland.
