Nieuwe auto moet voor mooie races zorgen

De windtunneltestfase van de nieuwe door Ferrari aangedreven en ontworpen A1 Grand Prix-auto is afgerond. De leiding van de raceklasse is ervan overtuigd dat de nieuwe bolide voor hele mooie races gaat zorgen.

Technisch directeur John Travis: Het werk van het ontwerpteam is vooral gestoken in veel downforce zonder de daarbij horende nadelen voor het racen. Daardoor moet het mogelijk zijn om vlak achter elkaar te racen.

Vooral in de bochten zal het verschil tussen twee autos minimaal zijn. Om onszelf te verzekeren van de inhaalacties en spectaculaire races waar we om bekend staan na onze eerste jaren hebben driehonderd uur in de windtunnel doorgebracht.
