Engineers en coureurs krijgen hulp van simulator

De engineers en rijders die aan de A1 Grand Prix gaan deelnemen kunnen in Modena door middel van een gedetailleerde simulator alvast wennen aan de nieuwe door Ferrari ontworpen en aangedreven auto. De organisatie heeft speciaal een simulatieprogramma laten ontwerpen om de coureurs te helpen bij de voorbereiding op de eerste race met de nieuwe bolide.

A1 Grand Prix-testrijder Thomas Biagi nam zowel in de echte nieuwe auto als in de simulator plaats. Het is zeker nuttig voor coureurs. De cockpit is helemaal hetzelfde en daardoor kan je jezelf alvast kennis laten maken met alle knopjes en de software. De circuits zijn ook enorm realistisch en het is een geweldige training voor coureurs. Ik kan het alle rijders aanbevelen.

Neel Jani van regerend kampioen Team Zwitserland bracht ook wat uurtjes door in de simulator. Ik vond het heel leuk. Het is vooral handig voor debutanten om de elektronica te leren. Maar ook voor de rest van de coureurs is het een must om te weten hoe alles in elkaar steekt voordat je echt in de auto springt. De simulator komt absoluut van pas.
