Daniel Morad verruilt Team Canada voor Team Libanon

Daniel Morad heeft een opvallende transfer gemaakt in de A1 Grand Prix. De 18-jarige coureur reed vorig seizoen bij vier evenementen in de vrije trainingen voor rookies voor Team Canada, maar het komende jaargang racet hij voor Team Libanon. Zijn vader komt uit dat land en emigreerde als tiener naar Canada.

Morad: Ik ben trots dat deze terugkeer naar mijn wortels mogelijk is. Dit doet me realiseren hoe belangrijk mijn herkomst is voor mijn karakter. Ik ben zeer geïnteresseerd in het herontdekken van het land van mijn vader en Team Libanon gaat me daar bij helpen. Dit is een eenmalige situatie en die moet ik met beide handen aangrijpen. Ik wil dolgraag meer over mijn herkomst te weten komen en dit gaat daar zeker bij helpen, Ik ben heel optimistisch over de toekomst die voor me ligt.
