Seizoensfinale in Interlagos

De organisatie van de A1 Grand Prix heeft bekend gemaakt dat het dit lopende seizoen gaat afsluiten met een race in Brazilië, op het circuit van Interlagos. Het seizoen zou eigenlijk afsluiten op 3 mei 2009 in Brands Hatch, maar dit gaat nu twee weken later gebeuren op het Braziliaanse circuit, dat ook gastheer is van de Formule 1 Grand Prix.

Het zal de eerste race voor de A1 Grand Prix in Zuid-Amerika worden. De A1GP-race van 29 maart 2009, die nog open stond, wordt geschrapt om ruimte te maken voor de laatste race van het seizoen.
