Salvador Duran keert terug bij Mexico

Salvador Duran keert terug in de A1 Grand Prix. Hij heeft overeenstemming bereikt met Team Mexico voor een terugkeer. De Mexicaan reed zijn laatste A1GP-race in Zandvoort in 2007, maar zijn opvolgers scoorden slechts vijf punten.

Duran: "Het is rond dat ik terugkom in de A1 Grand Prix. Ik heb het team afgelopen week alweer gesproken en ben erg blij om terug te zijn. We hebben hier heel hard voor gewerkt."

David Garza zit door de beslissing van het team nu zonder werk. Een teamverklaring zegt: "David zal niet meer voor ons uitkomen in de A1GP. We willen hem bedanken voor zijn inzet en enthousiasme en wensen hem alle goeds voor de toekomst."

De A1 Grand Prix rijdt de eerstvolgende race aankomend weekend in het Nieuw-Zeelandse Taupo.
