Clarke verdedigt op Taupo eer van Groot-Brittannië

Team Groot-Brittannië zet komend weekend voormalig Champ Car-coureur Dan Clarke in voor de A1 Grand Prix-races op het circuit van Taupo. Clarke vervangt vaste coureur Danny Watts, die door de geboorte van zijn zoon niet kon.

Clarke: Dit is geweldig. Dit is een boost en een grote verrassing voor mij. Team Groot-Brittannië is een geweldig team en is altijd een kanshebber op de racewinst. Ik ben hier om te helpen en hopelijk is dit een samenwerking voor de lange termijn. Maar eerst moet ik wennen aan mijn nieuwe team, een nieuw circuit en een nieuwe auto.

Teambaas Katie Clements: Dan is een Brits talent dat een beetje vergeten is sinds hij door het einde van de Champ Car zonder zitje zit. Ik weet zeker dat zijn ervaring met dit soort autos in combinatie met zijn honger om weer te racen ons komend weekend mooie resultaten op gaat leveren. Na het teleurstellende weekend in Maleisië is het voor ons belangrijk om in Nieuw-Zeeland weer te scoren.
