Surfers Paradise eerste race van seizoen 2009/2010

Het vijfde A1 Grand Prix-seizoen begint in oktober met een race op het circuit van Surfers Paradise. Het stratencircuit staat voor het eerst op de kalender en neemt de rol van seizoensopener over van Zandvoort, dat totaal niet meer in het schema voorkomt.

Assen heeft de ronde in Nederland toebedeeld gekregen. Surfers Paradise-racepromotor Greg Hooton is in zijn nopjes met het nieuws: Het is geweldig dat wij het eerste evenement voor het seizoen 2009/2010 zijn en iedereen verheugt zich op de A1 Grand Prix-race in Gold Coast.
