Nieuwe rookie voor Team Maleisië

Team Maleisië heeft een nieuwe coureur aangetrokken. De 21-jarige Aaron Lim zal bij de komende races de rookie tests uitvoeren voor het team. De Maleisiër heeft in de zomer al eens met een A1 Grand Prix-auto getest voor het team. Alex Yoong blijft gewoon de vaste racecoureur.

Lim zal bij de race in Mexico al beide trainingssessies gaan rijden. De jonge coureur kijkt er nu al naar uit. Dit is droom die uitkomt voor me. Jonge coureurs krijgen maar weinig kansen, maar dit is een hele mooie voor me. Het is een uitdaging voor me om het team verder te helpen met informatie over de auto en de baan en ik kan niet wachten om achter het stuur plaats te nemen.

Maleisië staat op dit moment zevende in het kampioenschap, één plek achter Team Nederland. Het beste weekend van het team was aan het begin van het seizoen in Tsjechië. Daar won Alex Yoong zowel in de sprint- als in de hoofdrace.
