Team Nederland onthult nieuw kleurenschema

Team Nederland heeft het nieuwe kleurenschema van de auto en overalls onthuld. De voorkant van de bolide is nog steeds oranje, vanaf de side-pods neemt de Nederlandse driekleur het over. Het ontwerp komt van Janwillem Bouwknegt, wiens inzending het mooist werd bevonden. Het team kreeg ruim duizend inzendingen, waarvan er twaalf naar een finaleronde gingen. Daarop kon het publiek stemmen en de jury, bestaande uit teambaas Jan Lammers, coureur Jeroen Bleekemolen en teammanager Robert Hoevers, velde eveneens een oordeel.

De auto wordt dus oranje, rood, wit en blauw. Iets anders dan de volledige oranje bolide van vorig seizoen, maar voor Bleekemolen zijn de resultaten belangrijker. Het kan komend seizoen eigenlijk alleen maar beter gaan. Het team is onveranderd, dus we hoeven niet aan elkaar te wennen. Vorig seizoen hebben we al laten zien veel progressie te kunnen boeken en als we die lijn doortrekken in de opkomende tests als voorbereiding op het nieuwe seizoen kan het een mooi jaar worden.

Hij kijkt dan ook uit naar de seizoensopener op het circuit van Zandvoort. Bleekemolen: Vorig jaar moest ik opeens in de auto stappen, zonder enige voorbereiding of wat dan ook. Nu ken ik de auto veel beter en is de hele weg naar de race op Zandvoort een stuk rustiger. Het wordt nu makkelijker om gelijk op snelheid te zijn. Vorig jaar wonnen we bijna de hoofdrace, voor dit jaar is het dus een doel om wel op Zandvoort te winnen.
