Jarvis rijdt seizoensopener op Zandvoort

Oliver Jarvis neemt de seizoensopening van het derde A1 Grand Prix-seizoen voor het team van Groot-Brittannië voor zijn rekening. Op 30 september is de eerste race op het circuit van Zandvoort. Jarvis, die vorig jaar de eerste zege van het team boekte, krijgt de voorkeur boven Robbie Kerr.

De Engelsman was gisteren ook vooraan te vinden bij de eerste officiële testdag. Jarvis: Ik vind het geweldig dat ik ben uitgekozen om het eerste weekend op Zandvoort te racen. Ik wil het team bedanken voor het vertrouwen en hoop dat terug te betalen met een goed resultaat. Vorig jaar was ik slechts te gast bij de race in Nederland, maar de sfeer was fantastisch. Hopelijk is dat dit jaar weer het geval en kan ik Team Groot-Brittannië een goede begin van het seizoen bezorgen.

Kerr neemt het tweede raceweekend op het circuit van Brno het stuur over van Jarvis. De A1GP-veteraan gaat op jacht naar de eerste titel voor zijn land. Kerr: Vorig jaar waren we goed, zeker aan het einde van het seizoen. En ik verwacht dat we komend seizoen weer sterk zullen zijn. Wij horen bij de te kloppen teams en ons doel is om een goede basis te leggen in de eerste twee raceweekenden.
