Olivier Panis adviseur bij Team Frankrijk

Oud Formule 1-coureur Olivier Panis keert terug in de autosport. De winnaar van de Grand Prix van Monaco in 1996 wordt adviseur van Team Frankrijk in de A1 Grand Prix. Dat heeft het team een paar dagen voor de seizoensopening op het circuit van Zandvoort bekend gemaakt.

Teambaas Eric Boullier vertelt: Het is geweldig dat iemand als Olivier het team komt versterken. Ik weet zeker dat zijn kennis en expertise Team Frankrijk kan helpen in het heroveren van de A1GP World Cup of Motorsport-titel.

Het eerste jaar van de raceserie werd gedomineerd door de Fransen, maar vorig jaar won Team Frankrijk geen enkele race. Toch eindigde het team als vierde. Dit seizoen moet Loic Duval ervoor zorgen dat Team Frankrijk terugkeert aan de top. Als rookie is de zoon van Alain Prost, Nicolas, aangesteld.
