Stoddart gaat praten met Champ Car teambazen

Voormalig Minardi-teambaas Paul Stoddart zal in de loop van deze week in bespreking gaan met een aantal van de Champ Car-teams, om zijn plannen binnen de serie te bespreken en een mogelijk overname te voltooien.

Naar alle waarschijnlijkheid zal Stoddart van plan zijn om het team van Keith Wiggins, CTE Racing-HVM, te gaan kopen. Tijdens de seizoensfinale in Mexico zou de overeenkomst al beklonken zijn, maar sindsdien is er geen nieuws geweest van Stoddart.

De situatie wordt voorlopig nog vrij stil gehouden, maar de teambazen van de andere Champ Car-teams zijn over het algemeen optimistisch over de ontmoeting met Stoddart in de Verenigde Staten. Champ Car-baas Steve Johnson zei het volgende: Ik ga met Paul Stoddart later deze week in Indianapolis praten.
