Tracy wil in Portland weer racen

Paul Tracy hoopt bij de volgende Champ Car-race in Portland weer van de partij te zijn. In Long Beach en Houston deed de Canadees niet mee omdat hij na een crash in de vrije training voor de race in Long Beach een rugblessure had opgelopen. Hij werd bij Forsythe vervangen door Oriol Servia en die pakte gelijk een tweede plek in zijn eerste race.

De volgende race in Portland is pas op 10 juni, dus Tracy heeft genoeg tijd om te herstellen. Ik voel me goed, ik zou nu al kunnen racen. Maar de doktoren hebben me geadviseerd om het rustig aan te doen en dat lijkt me verstandig. Als ik weer zou crashen zou ik de situatie alleen maar erger maken, dus ik richt me op mijn herstel.

De race in Portland is pas over zes weken, de doktoren denken dat ik dan wel klaar ben voor een rentree. Ik race veel liever dan dat ik toeschouwer ben. Ik ben ook niet naar Houston gegaan, dat zou alleen maar frustraties opleveren. Ik ben thuis gebleven met wat ijs op mijn rug en lekker rusten en me gereed maken voor de volgende race.
