Dalziel breekt sleutelbeen bij fietsrit

Ryan Dalziel zal komend weekend niet aan de start staan bij de Champ Car-race op het stratencircuit van San Jose. De Schot heeft zijn sleutelbeen gebroken bij een val tijdens een fietsritje. Hoe lang deze blessure hem aan de kant gaat houden is nog onbekend. Eveneens nog onduidelijk is wie hem zal vervangen bij Pacific Coasts Motorsport.

Dalziel kwam net uit zijn meest succesvolle Champ Car-weekend uit zijn debuutjaar. Een achtste startplaats en een zevende aan het einde van de race op het vliegveld van Edmonton, zo hoog was hij nog niet eerder gefinisht. Dalziel heeft als rookie tot nu toe 95 punten gescoord. De race in San Jose moet hij missen, de race op Road America is nog een vraagteken, maar bij de races in Europa wordt de Schot zeker aan de start verwacht.
