Dominguez vervangt Dalziel in San Jose

Mario Dominguez neemt dit weekend bij Pacific Coasts Motorsport de plek in van Ryan Dalziel die een gebroken sleutelbeen heeft. De Schot is gevallen tijdens een fietsrit en kan daardoor niet in actie komen. Mario Dominguez is dit jaar al stand-in geweest bij Forsythe en PKV Racing.

De Mexicaan kreeg pas op het laatste moment te horen dat hij dit weekend aan de bak moet. Dominguez: De omstandigheden zijn inderdaad niet perfect, maar ik heb er enorm veel zin in. Ik denk dat mijn ervaring en kwaliteiten dit jonge team zeker kunnen helpen en ik kijk er dan ook naar uit dit weekend in actie te komen. Ik ben dankbaar voor deze kans van Pacific Coasts Motorsport. Ik vind het jammer voor Ryan. Hij heeft tot nu toe goed gepresteerd en ik hoop dat hij snel weer beter is.

Teambaas Tyler Tadevic: Mario heeft al bewezen races te kunnen winnen en is een intelligente coureur, hij zal zeker bij ons team passen. We hebben al veel progressie geboekt sinds het begin van het seizoen met Ryan en het is spijtig dat we dat even moeten onderbreken. We wensen hem een spoedig herstel.
