Mario Dominguez vindt opnieuw onderdak

Het is Mario Dominguez weer gelukt om een racestoeltje in de Champ Car te bemachtigen. De Mexicaan die eerder dit jaar als invaller al reed voor Forsythe, Pacific Coast Motorsports, PKV Racing en Minardi Team USA keert terug bij Pacific Coast Motorsports. Hij vervangt voor de laatste twee races van het seizoen, waarvan één in zijn thuisland Mexico, Ryan Dalziel.

Tyler Tadevic, directeur van Pacific Coast Motorsports, legt uit: We zijn al jaren druk bezig met een commercieel programma in Mexico en de kans om een bewezen racewinnaar en een Mexicaanse ster zoals Mario te contracteren konden we niet laten lopen. Daarbij heeft hij een overvloed aan ervaring op de komende circuits en dat zal ons helpen in de voorbereiding op 2008.

Het was wel een moeilijke beslissing. We hebben vier jaar prettig samengewerkt met Ryan en hij heeft het geweldig gedaan voor Pacific Coast Motorsports. We zijn er trots op met hem gewerkt te hebben en we hopen in de toekomst weer wat samen te kunnen doen. Ik ben er van overtuigd dat de talenten van Ryan zijn opgevallen bij andere motorsportinstellingen en dat hij zo weer een nieuwe werkgever zal vinden.
