BMW tornt niet aan line-up richting 2016

BMW houdt de line-up voor de DTM intact voor volgend seizoen. Dat betekent dat de acht coureurs van dit seizoen in 2016 weer de eer van de Duitse autofabrikant verdedigen. Marco Wittmann, Timo Glock, Bruno Spengler, Maxime Martin, Antonio Felix da Costa, Tom Blomqvist, Augusto Farfus en Martin Tomczyk rijden ook volgend jaar voor BMW.

BMW heeft ondanks vijf overwinningen geen geweldig seizoen achter de rug en speelde maar een bijrol in de DTM. Dat moet in 2016 anders, stelt motorsportbaas Jens Marquardt. "Voor het vijfde jaar sinds onze terugkeer in de DTM vertrouwen we op continuïteit in onze rijders en teams. 'Never change a winning team' is ons motto voor 2016, wanneer we meer zeges en de titel in de wacht willen slepen."

Eerder kondigde Audi al aan met dezelfde acht rijders het komende DTM-seizoen aan te vangen.
