Racestewards roepen Red Bull Racing bij zich

Het team van Red Bull Racing moet zich melden bij de stewards van de Grand Prix van Maleisië. Reden hiervoor is het ongeluk van coureur David Coulthard in de eerste vrije training. De Schot ging iets te wijd bij bocht 13 en zijn voorwielophanging brak doormidden toen de RB4 de kerbstones raakte.

Het team moet nu uitleg geven over wat er gebeurt is, aangezien Coulthard vorige week in Australië ook al een kapotte ophanging overhield aan een botsing met Felipe Massa. In een verklaring melden de stewards: Aan de hand van het verslag van de racedirecteur moeten de teambaas en de technisch verantwoordelijke man zich zo snel mogelijk na de tweede vrije training melden bij de stewards om het incident van auto nummer negen te bespreken.

Coulthard kwam uit voorzorg niet in actie tijdens de tweede vrije training.

Het lijkt me terecht dat men deze zaak gaat bekijken. Het is een gevaar voor de andere coureurs. De ophanging is zo slap dat ze maar over een curb hoeven te rijden en zonder voorwielen geraken.
