Red Bull Racing tevreden over progressie in 2008

De teamleiding van Red Bull Racing is tevreden met hoe het seizoen 2008 tot nu toe verloopt. De Oostenrijkse renstal staat momenteel vijfde in het kampioenschap. Teambaas Christian Horner prijst de vooruitgang van zijn team: We hebben een duidelijke stap voorwaarts gemaakt, zowel qua snelheid als qua betrouwbaarheid.

Hij vervolgt: Het gevecht om de vierde plek in het kampioenschap is net zo intens als de strijd om de titels. Onze rivalen zijn Renault, Williams, Toyota en soms Honda. De afgelopen drie, vier races zijn we zeer competitief geweest als je ons vergelijkt met Renault. Mark Webber en Fernando Alonso hebben enkele goede wedstrijden afgeleverd.

Ook ontwerper Adrian Newey is te spreken over de resultaten van 2008. Wij zijn tevreden omdat de auto aan de verwachtingen voldoet. Het gebied waarop we nog tekort schieten is de tractie en we onderzoeken hoe dat komt. Afgezien van dat kleine minpuntje gaat het over het algemeen goed en doet de auto waar we op hadden gehoopt.
