Massa blijft strijdbaar na sterke prestatie van McLaren

Ferrari-coureur Felipe Massa was de enige coureur die nog enigzins het tempo van de beide McLaren's wist bij te houden. De Braziliaan start morgen als derde voor Kubica, de verrassende Glock en teamgenoot Raikkonen. Tijdens de kwalificatie zou Massa echter last gehad hebben van verkeer maar hij noemde daarbij geen namen.

"Ik ben niet 100% tevreden met mijn ronden. Ik had wat last van verkeer en daarom hadden ook mijn banden niet de optimale temperatuur. Ik kon niet voorbij aan het verkeer en dat zorgde ervoor dat ik geen ideale ronde kon rijden vandaag in de laatste sessie. Ik moest echt een superronde rijden, maar dat lukte daardoor dus niet", aldus Massa.

Desgevraagd ging Massa in op de chassis-verbeteringen die minder goed lijken te werken dan was voorspeld: "Onze bolide is nu wat beter qua chassis-aanpassingen, omdat het beter zichtbaar is voor jullie wil niet zeggen dat het beter werkt dan bijvoorbeeld een kleine aanpassing. Je moet dat in een andere context bekijken, maar het is wel belangrijk. We maken stapjes vooruit."

Massa wil er niets van weten dat Ferrari te ver achter ligt op McLaren om een aanval te doen op de overwinning in Oost-Europa. Massa hierover: "Wij zijn nu best sterk. Vanochtend was dat niet echt het geval maar nu heb ik het gevoel dat we er echt weer goed bij zitten. Ik heb nu zelfs het gevoel dat we McLaren weer kunnen bedreigen dan bijvoorbeeld in Hockenheim", zegt een hoopvolle Massa.

Felipe Massa is op dit moment de beste Ferrari-coureur in het klassement. Hij staat tweede, direct achter zijn naaste rivaal Hamilton met vier punten achterstand. Achter hem staat zijn teamgenoot met drie punten verschil. Raikkonen start morgen echter vanaf de zesde positie waardoor Massa zou kunnen uitlopen tot een grotere afstand vanwege de schiere onmogelijkheid om te passeren op de Hungaroring.

  Dit pakken ze niet meer af en Lewis z\'n motor ook nog oke bevonden sjonge . enkele van mijn vrienden (ferrari) moesten toch toegeven dat Lewis best wel eens kampioen kan worden omdat hij gewoon de ballen er wel voor heeft om er vol voor te gaan . Nou zoals het nu gaat word hij idd kampioen

Sorry mensen die hier zeiden nooit te nimmer wat dacht je van hamilton die gaat winne simpel toch. Hadden het mooi dik fout! Massa reed voor zonder zijn motor die kapot ging had massa gewonnen en hamilton achter hem als hij geen banden problemen had gekregen
