Alonso verheugt zich op uitdagend Spa-Francorchamps

Renault-coureur Fernando Alonso behoort tot de groep coureurs met een voorliefde voor het circuit van Spa-Francorchamps. De langste baan van de kalender biedt de rijders nog uitdagingen die ze op de nieuwe circuits van tegenwoordig niet vinden. Alonso: Spa-Francorchamps is een van de exceptionele circuits op de Formule 1-kalender.

De Spanjaard gaat verder: Net als alle andere historische circuits heerst op Spa-Francorchamps een warme en speciale sfeer. Voor de coureurs is deze baan een ongelofelijke uitdaging en een heerlijke ervaring om op te rijden. Ik heb nog nooit gewonnen op Spa-Francorchamps en hopelijk mag ik dit circuit ooit aan mijn lijstje zeges toevoegen.

Alonso gaat voor een goed resultaat in België. De vorige Grand Prix mondde uit in een race om snel te vergeten, maar we moeten onze doelen niet naar beneden bijstellen. Ik weet zeker dat het team honderd procent geeft om de doelstellingen waar te maken en ik doe er ook alles aan. Aan het begin van het seizoen ging het moeizaam, maar we hebben ons verbeterd en we zijn vastberaden om die stijgende lijn vast te houden.
