BMW Sauber verlengt contracten van Heidfeld en Kubica

Nick Heidfeld en Robert Kubica vormen ook volgend jaar het duo voor BMW Sauber. Dat maakte de Duitse renstal vandaag bekend. De contractverlenging van de Duitser en de Pool betekent dat Fernando Alonso in 2009 in ieder geval niet voor BMW Sauber zal uitkomen. Christian Klien blijft ook aan als testrijder.

Teambaas Mario Theissen over zijn line-up voor volgend seizoen: Met Nick en Robert hebben we een ijzersterk rijdersduo en met Christian hebben we een ervaren testrijder. We twijfelen er niet aan dat we ook in de vierde jaargang van ons team de ambitieuze doelstellingen zullen waarmaken.
