Renault presenteert nieuwe R29 op 19 januari in Portugal

Het team van Renault heeft de presentatiedatum van de nieuwe auto bekendgemaakt. De bolide, met de naam R29, wordt op 19 januari 2009 onthuld op het nieuwe Algarve Motor Park in Portugal. Een dag later maakt de wagen zijn debuut op hetzelfde circuit in de handen van racecoureurs Fernando Alonso en Nelson Piquet jr.

Teambaas Flavio Briatore, technisch directeur Bob Bell en motordirecteur Rob White zullen bij de launch aanwezig zijn om tekst en uitleg over de R29 te geven. De nieuwe bolide moet Alonso in staat stellen om voor zijn derde wereldtitel te gaan. De Spanjaard keerde dit seizoen na een jaar McLaren terug bij Renault en won twee Grands Prix.
