Raikkonen zonder, Massa met KERS op vrijdag in Bahrein

Kimi Raikkonen hoeft KERS niet terug in zijn auto voor de Grand Prix van Bahrein. Teamgenoot Felipe Massa laat het systeem wel weer installeren in zijn F60 voor de vrije trainingen van morgen, maar de Fin van Ferrari denkt niet dat het een voordeel is.

Raikkonen: Ik maak morgen geen gebruik van KERS. De andere auto zal wel met het systeem uitgerust worden en na de trainingen besluiten we wat we gaan doen voor de rest van het weekend. We willen de vergelijking van met en zonder KERS maken en kijken wat het verschil is.

Het is waarschijnlijk wel sneller op de meeste circuits, maar de auto was in China ook niet slecht na de kwalificatie. Met KERS hadden we misschien iets harder gegaan, maar met of zonder maakt vooralsnog weinig uit voor ons.
