Massa bestempelt Monaco als potentieel keerpunt voor Ferrari

De Grand Prix van Monaco moet voor Ferrari dienen als keerpunt. Althans, dat hoopt coureur Felipe Massa. De vice-kampioen van 2008 scoorde in de eerste vijf races slechts drie punten. Dat is hij wel anders gewend. In Spanje waren echter de eerste tekenen van verbetering waarneembaar, al verloor hij in de slotfase nog twee plekken omdat hij brandstof moest besparen.

Hoe dan ook, de eerste stap was in Barcelona en Massa hoopt op de definitieve ommekeer in Monaco. In Gazzetta dello Sport zegt hij: Ik denk echt dat de race in Monaco het keerpunt voor ons seizoen kan zijn. Ons aerodynamicapakket is weer vernieuwd. De start van het seizoen was onverwacht, maar we hebben ons al flink verbeterd. Vooral in Barcelona zetten we grote stappen. Al die aspecten doen mij geloven in ons eerste podium van dit jaar en ons herstel. Ik vecht en push met het hele team om dat te bewerkstelligen.
