Alonso: "FIA moet meer naar bestaande teams luisteren"

Renault-coureur Fernando Alonso vindt het vreemd dat de internationale autosportbond FIA haar oren zo laat hangen naar eventuele nieuwe teams. De Spanjaard is van mening dat de kritiek van de bestaande renstallen meer serieus genomen moet worden.

Alonso liet aan de Spaanse krant Marca weten: Wat Formule 1 tot het grote spektakel dat het nu is heeft gemaakt zijn de grote teams. Daarom is het niet juist om ze aan de kant te schuiven in een poging om drie nieuwe teams te lokken. Het is ook niet zo dat de grote teams geen nieuwe deelnemers erbij willen. Het kan echter niet de bedoeling zijn dat je alles in het werk stelt om nieuwe teams aan te trekken en dan zeven van de renstallen die de Formule 1 gemaakt hebben tot wat het is, wegjaagt.
