Massa geeft KERS niet schuld van matige seizoensstart Ferrari

In Monaco stond voor het eerst dit seizoen een Ferrari op het podium. De Italiaanse renstal is zich onmiskenbaar aan het herpakken van een zwakke seizoensstart. Tijdens de overzeese races liet de betrouwbaarheid flink te wensen over en het tempo van de F60 was ook niet best. Sinds Barcelona lijkt een stijgende lijn ingezet.

Ferrari concentreerde zich bij het ontwerp vooral op het nieuwe systeem KERS, terwijl concurrenten zoals bijvoorbeeld Brawn GP meer aandacht legden op de aerodynamica. Massa in Die Welt: Net als McLaren, BMW Sauber en Renault wilden we het maximale uit de technische regels halen. Het zou pas gênant zijn als de andere KERS-teams de dienst uitmaakten en wij achteraan vertoefden. Dat is niet het geval, op dit moment hebben wij zelfs de beste auto met KERS. Alleen is Brawn GP sneller zonder KERS.
